Janice Barbour Poole, 74, of Micro, stepped out of this world into her heavenly home on Saturday, March 30, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at the SECU Hospice House. Born in Johnston County on February 8, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Rayvond and Rena Barbour. She graduated at Cleveland High School and began her working career at Rose’s Department Stores for 15 years in Smithfield and Wilson. She later joined her husband as office manager of the family business in Micro where they made their home. She was a great admirer of Elvis Presley, spending time collecting Elvis memorabilia and visiting Graceland twice. Janice was a member of Micro First Baptist Church.
