Kathy Lynette Edwards, 60, of Southern Pines, NC passed away at First Health of the Carolina on Sunday, September 8, 2024. She was born in Johnston County on June 27, 1964 to the late Maurice Lane and Patricia Edgerton Edwards.
She is survived by her son; James Moco and wife, Thanh of Selma, daughter; Jessica Clewis and husband, Jason of Southern Pines, sister; Kimberly Edwards of Carthage, 2 grandchildren, Kaleb Clewis and Henry Moco.
Kathy was an avid reader who loved getting lost in a book. She loved animals, especially her grand dog Louis, who spent every day by her side. She enjoyed bird watching and listening to their “Songs”. She was a skillful gardener who loved being out in the yard taking care of her flowers. She loved a good crime TV drama. Most of all she absolutely loved her grandchildren dearly as well as her family.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations in Princeton, NC 27569. A private graveside will be held at Grace Baptist Church Cemetery.
