Donald H. Johnson, “Donnie” born on February 22, 1951, in Johnston County, went home with his Heavenly Father on September 23, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Kathleen (Schmidt) Johnson, his mother Margie Garner Johnson, siblings Joanna Neill, Bobby Johnson, Ronnie Johnson, and Carol Bateman, all of whom reside in Virginia. He is also survived by Step-daughter Miranda Cantrell, Step-son Edward Walker IV, and Step-grandson Jaden Matheny.
Donnie and Kathleen moved to Johnston County in 2005 and then to their small farm in 2007 where Donnie loved caring for all of their fur-babies. Donnie loved Baseball and being outdoors. He even played semi-pro for the Yankees farm team.
