Donald “Don” Mark Mirante, of Clayton, North Carolina, was born December 12,1941 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and departed this life on September 28, 2021.
He was a loving husband to Sandy, the best “Girl-Dad” to Lisa, Lynn, Leanne and Lauren, wonderful father-in-law to their husbands, and the coolest grandfather to nine grandkids, and five great-grandkids. During his lifetime, he was a talented baseball player, retired from Railinc Corporation after 45 years, and enjoyed music, mob-movies and sports. He loved golf and his Packers, and cherished time spent with his family above all else.
In lieu of flowers, Don would appreciate a donation to the Duke Raleigh Cancer Center in his name. Additionally, and per his request, his wife and kids will celebrate his life during their annual family vacation which he loved so much.
