    Clayton – Patricia Ann Martin Deans, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born a daughter of the late Dean and Mozelle Martin on August, 19, 1953, in Rockingham County.

    She was a former employee of Hocutt Ellington Memorial Library, a substitute teacher for Johnston County Schools and recipient of the Adult Volunteer of The Year Award at Riverwood and West Clayton Elementary Schools. Patricia loved kids, especially her own children and grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with the burial to follow in Bizzell Grove Memorial Gardens in Princeton. The family will receive visitors on Friday, October 16, 2020, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Parrish Funeral Home.

    She is survived by her husband of 48 years Mr. Richard Deans Sr., son, Richard Deans Jr. of Clayton; daughters, Amy Williams of Knightdale, Jennifer Storey (husband Andy) of Clayton, Leigh Anne Deans of Clayton, Laura Chase (husband Eddie) of Angier; grandchildren, Amber Williams, Tyler Williams, Jacob Williams, and Aidan Storey, sister, Gloria McLaughlin of Garner, Debbie Hussey (husband Joe) of Middlesex, Sandy Penny (husband Andy) of Knightdale; brothers, Tim Martin (wife Mickie) of Maple Hill, Benny Martin (Joy) of Clayton, and many nieces and nephews.
