Selma – Peggy Ann Capps, age 69, died Sunday, September 10, 2017 in the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born November 23, 1947 in Marion, SC she was a daughter of the late Willie Clarence and Vada Florence Guin Capps. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Deans and Susie Capps; and brothers, Jimmy Ray Taylor and Noah Capps. Peggy was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Four Oaks.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in Faith FWB Church with Rev. Donnie Massey officiating. Burial will follow in Faith FWB Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.
Surviving are her daughters, Vanessa Haney of Waynesville and Jessica Moore of Middlsex; brother, Clarence Capps and wife Debra of Wilson’s Mills; sisters, Christine Strickland and husband Ray of Selma, Lois Sellers of Selma, Alice Capps of Selma, Hilda Thompson and husband Roland of Pine Level, and Jo Ann Townsend of Apex; and granddaughter, Victoria Moore.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Parrish Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
