Coats, NC: Mrs. Rebecca Rae “Becky” Upchurch Pope, age 86 of Church Street passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Oak Hill Assisted Living in Angier. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the Rose and Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Coats. Officiating will be Rev. Neal Thornton. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens in Dunn.
Mrs. Pope was born on December 16, 1933 in Harnett County to the late Malcolm and Mary Johnson Upchurch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Aaron Pope; brothers and sisters, Jeanette Denning, Joe Upchurch, Phil Upchurch, Ruby Upchurch, Katherine Young, Tony Upchurch, Rupert Upchurch. Mrs. Pope was a retired paralegal with Parker and Associates for 54 years and a member of Coats Baptist Church.
Surviving are her children, Denise P. Stearley and husband, Mark of Cary, Roy Blaine Pope and wife, Mary Jo of Four Oaks, Russell Alan Pope and wife, Sandy of Coats; grandchildren, Taylor Stearley, Lauren Stearley, Emily Pope, and Aaron Pope; step-grandson, John Aaron Harold; step-great-grandson, John Peyton Harold; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats from 1:45PM to 2:45PM prior to the service on Tuesday, October 13, 2020.

In accordance with the current NC-COVID19 guidelines, the funeral home suggest practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W’s: wait, wash and wear a face covering. A mask is required for the service on Tuesday.
