Willie Daniel Barbour, age 90, of 209 N. Pollock Street, Selma died peacefully in his home Tuesday, August 14, 2018. Born January 2, 1928 in Smithfield, NC he was a son of the late Lonnie and Lucy Worrells Barbour. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Stanley Barbour; brothers, Lonnie Barbour, Jr. and Herman Barbour. Willie was a US Navy WWII veteran. He loved his Lord, country, church and family. He was a member of Johnston Community Church. Willie was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 noon Friday, August 17, 2018 in Selma Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon Friday at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, and at others times at his home.
Surviving are daughters, Charlotte Lee Smith and husband Donald of Selma, and Jackie Seare and husband John of Princeton; son, Thomas Barbour of Selma; grandchildren, David Barker, Danny Barker, Bunky Rose, and Angelique Rose; great grandchildren, John Tyler Barker, Ginger Lisanti, Aubree Barker, and Amanda Barker; and three great great grandchildren.
