Over $21,000 In Meth Seized During Traffic Stop

CLAYTON – Police seized a large amount of methamphetamine during a traffic stop in Clayton. Around 12 Noon on Monday, September 13th, an officer pulled over a car in the 10000 block of US Highway 70 Business West.

During the traffic stop approximately 216 grams of meth, with a potential street value of $21,600, was located during a search of the vehicle.

Craig Franklin Williams, 59, of Garner was charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Williams was held on a $50,000 secured bond at the Johnston County Jail.
