Two Robeson County men are facing felony charges after they allegedly broke into a car parked at the Carolina Premium Outlet and also shoplifted from a store.
Around 3:45pm Wednesday, an officer responded to investigate a report from a Kenly woman that a window on her car had been shattered while she was at work inside a retail store and a tote bag valued at $30 had been stolen from inside the vehicle. A short time later a second officer responded to a shoplifting call at Fossil after the suspects allegedly stole three watches valued at $239.
The officers were able to link the shoplifting suspects to the car break-in. They also reported found a small amount of suspected cocaine on one of the men.
Rodney Glen Callahan Jr., 23, of Normont Road, Lumberton was charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny, possession of stolen property and possession of cocaine. He was confined in the Johnston County Jail under a $25,000 bond.
Warren Johnson III, 26, also from Normont Road, Lumberton was arrested for breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny, and possession of stolen property. He was jailed under a $13,000 bond.
