Two Johnston County residents have now been linked by sheriff’s detectives to the theft of 50 hats, clothing and power equipment from a Cleveland area home earlier this year.
On May 1st, a 31 year-old man reported someone had stolen the items from his home on Kasey Dee Circle. The victim said 50 hats, a pressure washer, backpack blower, clothing and shoes were stolen from his address. The items were valued at $3,110.
Chris Dewayne Jenkins, 45, of the 3200 block of Plain View Church Road, Angier was arrested Monday by Johnston County deputies and charged with felony larceny.
Previously, on July 23rd, Jennifer Marie Ross, 32, of the 200 block of Country Lane, Clayton was arrested by Harnett County authorities on a warrant from the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office charging her with felony larceny.
About $1,500 of the stolen property has been recovered.
