Three family members are facing charges following the allegedly sexual assault of a 9 year-old girl.
The parents of the young girl are charged with felony child abuse for reportedly knowing the victim’s uncle was sexually abusing the child but did not intervene.
The girl’s parents, Kevin Ray Jackson, 35, and Amber Ann Johnson, 25, both of Mamie Road, Benson, were charged Friday with felony child abuse involving a sex act. The victim’s uncle, Bobby Gene Thompson, 44, also of Mamie Road, Benson was charged with first-degree forcible rape, indecent liberties with a child and first-degree sex offense.
Jackson and Johnson were held under a $100,000 bond each. Thompson was confined in the Johnston County Jail under as $250,000 bond.
