Police: Impaired Driver Crashes Van Into Pizza Shop

A pizza shop was damaged overnight after a van crashed through the front of the business.

Clayton Police said Darlin Manuel Padilla-Sauceda of Clayton and a passenger were inside a white van when they drove through the front door of Big Cheese Pizza at 1373 US-70 Business in Clayton.

They shattered glass, damaged tables inside and compromised the building structure.

Luckily none of the employees inside was hurt. The driver and passenger were not injured either.

Padilla-Sauceda, 25, was charged by Clayton Police with driving while impaired. He was confined in the Johnston County Jail under $1,000 bond.

    I think it’s MIGHTY bad they get a low bond for driving drunk,knowing they are going to post it and be right back out on our streets driving again😈. You just as well as not lock them up because you’re just letting them right back out to do it again until he kills someone next time. Then it’s too late.
