Police Respond To Domestic Disturbance, Make 2 Drug Arrests

Two people were arrested at a Smithfield motel Wednesday after officers were called to a domestic disturbance.

Smithfield Police said they were summoned to a room at Americas Best Value Inn on Mallard Road.  Police said they found multiple syringes, a smoking pipe and suspected methamphetamine in the room.

Kathy Michelle Boyd, 26, of Quaker Road, Goldsboro and Brandon Harold Wright, 24, of E. Hinton Street, Goldsboro were both charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wright was placed in the Johnston County Jail under a $50,000 bond. Boyd was released on a $10,000 bond.
