Two Four Oaks teenagers are facing criminal charges after they were allegedly caught stealing items from Wal-Mart on North Brightleaf Boulevard in Smithfield Wednesday afternoon.
Police responded to the business around 3:45pm after the two suspects, 17 year-old Kaci Diane Wood and 19 year-old Kayla Lynn Wilson, both of E. Sanders Street, Four Oaks were caught by store security personnel trying to steal makeup and cell phone accessories valued at $102.25.
Smithfield Police Captain J. Grady said the two teens had a 15 year-old with them who they reportedly enlisted to help them shoplift the merchandise.
Wood and Wilson were charged with larceny and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Police are consulting with juvenile authorities to see if the 15 year-old will face any charges.
Wood was given a $5,000 bond. Wilson was held under a $20,000 bond. Court dates for both of them was set for June 8th, according to a police report.
