Report: Neighbor Stole 26 Pair Of Shoes During Break-In

FOUR OAKS – A Four Oaks man was arrested after authorities said he broke into his neighbor’s barn and stole property. Thanks to another neighbor, who called law enforcement, the suspect was quickly captured.

Around 10:30am Tuesday, September 21st, a witness reported seeing someone enter their neighbor’s barn on Elevation Road and steal clothing and shoes. The suspect took the stolen items to a nearby home and went inside.

Responding deputies located the suspect, Robert Blake Strother, 34, of Crooked Tree Drive was arrested. A search warrant was executed on his home and the stolen items, including 26 pair of shoes, were recovered. The stolen items were valued at $1,600.

Strother was charged with seven offenses including breaking and entering, larceny, and possession of stolen property. He was served with an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor drug possession charge.

Strother was held on a $75,000 secured bond at the Johnston County Jail.
