Report: Stolen Property Sold To Scrap Metal Business

FOUR OAKS – A larceny investigation near Four Oaks has resulted in the arrest of a 62 year-old woman.  On July 24th, a golf cart frame was reported stolen from a residence in the 400 block of Juniper Church Road.  Johnston County deputies responded and took a report.

A detective later determined the golf cart frame and some other items had been sold to a local scrap metal business for $30 immediately after it was stolen.  The frame had already been destroyed by the time authorities determined it has been sold to the business.

On August 14th, Sheila Jean McLamb, 62, of Juniper Church Road, Four Oaks was charged with misdemeanor larceny and felony attempting to obtain property by false pretenses.  McLamb was given a $10,000 bond on the two charges.
