Representative Larry Strickland Announces Re-Election Bid

PINE LEVEL – Representative Larry C. Strickland (R-Johnston) announced Thursday he would seek re-election.

“It has been my highest honor to serve the people of House District 28 and the citizens of North Carolina the last five years in the North Carolina General Assembly. We are proud of the work that we have been able to accomplish as a body, but there is still more work to be done.”

As a chairman of the Appropriations Committee in the 2021 session, I was able to help secure over $100 million for the 28th House District. This will help our county to prosper with water and sewer and other infrastructure projects for our municipalities that have needed to be updated for many years. From historical tax reform to setting a goal for savings reserve and meeting that goal once again, we can honestly say that the state of North Carolina is now on the right track.”

“I believe that Johnston County has a lot to offer to our state’s economy and with responsible legislation we can lead by example for our surrounding counties. As I mentioned previously, there is still work to be done. It is for this reason that I am seeking re-election to the North Carolina House. I look forward to continuing to represent the people of House District 28 and continuing to defend our conservative values in Raleigh,” Representative Strickland said.

  1. Solid track record and holds to principles. Just wish he were more responsive to his constituents, albeit when I call his office, his assistant will answer and address my questions.

  2. I support Representative Strickland. As B. Smith said, solid track record and principles. As to responsiveness, I have found Mr. Strickland to be accessible most times. Like any busy legislator, he has his knowledgeable and efficient staff take many routine questions. This District needs Rep. Strickland.
