Second Arrest Made In Break-In At Grandmother’s Home

Johnston County authorities have arrested a second person they say was involved in a break-in at a Four Oaks area home on November 7th.

On that date, a window was broken out to gain entry into a home on Holley Road. Cash, jewelry and a small safe were taken.

Cody Wayne McLamb, 21, of Holley Road, Four Oaks was arrested on November 13th and charged with breaking into his grandmother’s home.

Now his girlfriend, 19 year-old Logan Riley Tharp of Campfire Road, Kenly has been charged by sheriff’s detectives with the break-in.  Tharp was arrested Nov. 15th on three felony charges.

Tharp allegedly told authorities she and McLamb needed money to purchase narcotics. Officers believe McLamb called his grandmother’s house on Nov. 7th to confirm she wasn’t at home before arriving with Tharp to commit the burglary.

McLamb is also facing unrelated charges from Four Oaks Police for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a Nov. 11th incident.

SO true. Im amazed that my kid my made it to college living here with all the drugs that are being allowed in our county. I thank God every day that my kid got out of here and into college! Many of my kids peers are junkies in prison, selling drugs or constantly getting arrested due to drugs!
