A second person has been charged in a double shooting last month that left a 31 year-old Benson man dead. On May 23rd, Montice Williams of Benson was shot and killed at an address on Cater Lane near Lillington.
23 year-old Zachary Tyler Johnson of Raeford Road, Angier, was also shot but survived. Johnson was arrested May 27th after his release from the hospital. Johnson was charged with first-degree murder for the shooting death of Mr. Williams.
On June 21st, Harnett County sheriff’s investigators charged Christopher Lee Martin, 30, of Cater Lane, Lillington with aggravated assault and weapon law violations. Deputies said Martin was individual who shot and injured Zachary Johnson.
A motive has not been released by authorities.
