Sheriff Narcotics Division Makes Arrests

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division made several arrests this week following undercover drug investigations.

Tiffany Michelle Lee, 29, of Cashew Lane, Smithfield was arrested Wednesday afternoon following a two month investigation into the distribution of oxycodone.   Lee was charged with three felony offenses including possession with intent to manufacture sell or deliver a controlled substance.  She was jailed under a $70,000 bond.

Jeffrey Lewis Armstrong Jr., 26, of Grace Road, Benson was arrested Wednesday night following a month long investigation into the distribution of soboxone.  Armstrong was arrested by agents on 10 drug offenses including maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance and possession with intent to manufacture sell or deliver a controlled substance.    Armstrong was held in the Johnston County Jail in lieu of a $170,000 bond.

Joseph Allen Harper, 35, and James Barham McLaughlin Jr., 33, both of Bryan Road, Garner were arrested Tuesday in Wake County following a two month investigation by sheriff’s narcotics officers.  Both men are accused of selling and delivering heroin in Johnston County. Harper was held in the Johnston County Jail under a $250,000 bond. McLaughlin was booked into jail under a $75,000 bond.
