Update: Suspect Arrested In Shooting Of Two Teenagers

UPDATE Monday 5:15PM: The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Clayton Police Department, arrested Maynor Flores-Salinas of Clayton on Monday. Flores-Salinas was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Flores-Salinas was confined at the Johnston County Jail under a $450,000 secured bond. The case remains under investigation. A motive has not been released.

CLAYTON – Two teenagers were shot and seriously injured Sunday night at a home on Sequoia Drive in the Sierra Heights subdivision off Vinson Road.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office said the two 16 year-old victims were in the garage area of the home, around 10:30pm, when they were shot. Both victims were rushed to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities said Monday they have a person of interest in the case. No additional details have been released.
