3 People Charged With Attempted Murder, Robbery

Three people are in jail charged with attempted murder and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon following a shooting today (Monday) in Wayne County.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said the shooting occurred in Carraway Creek Estates off Genoa Road in Dudley. Responding deputies spotted the suspect’s in a car and stopped the vehicle on Pecan Road.

Other officers found Alphonso Campbell at the scene suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Campbell was rushed to Wayne Memorial Hospital and later transported to Pitt Memorial. At last report Campbell was in critical but stable condition.

Monday afternoon, detectives formally charged the three suspects with attempted murder and attempted robbery.  Taylor Lawrence Davis, 30, of S. Aycock Street, Fremont; Kimberly Rose Pate, 30, of Pate Farm Lane, Pikeville; and Jason Samuel Camaioni, 38, of Wesley Drive, Goldsboro are being held in the Wayne County Detention Center.

Davis is being held under a $650,000 bond. Pate and Camaioni are in custody under a $350,000 bond each.
