Smithfield Burglary And Robbery Not Random, Police Say

Police arrested a suspect in a Smithfield burglary and robbery after he returned to the scene of the crime.   It all happened at an apartment on Kay Drive off South Brightleaf Boulevard around midnight Sunday.

Smithfield Police said 27 year-old Sean Waller Toleito of Lincoln Street, Selma forced his way into the apartment of a female that he knew.  Once inside he assaulted the 26 year-old victim, stole her cell phone, then fled.  Police said the incident was not random.

Officers obtained warrants for Toleito and began searching for him.  Sunday night, Toleito allegedly returned to the victim’s apartment and was arrested.  He is charged with felony breaking and entering to terrorize, first degree burglary, common law robbery, felony larceny and assault on a female.

Toleito is being held in the Johnston County Jail under a $100,000 bond.    The victim in the case sustained minor injuries.
