SMITHFIELD – Police are investigating the armed robbery of a local business. The holdup was reported Sunday, May 8th at 5:55pm at Mr. Smoke and Vape at 1547 East Market Street near College Road.
Police said two unknown black males, approximately 15 to 16 years of age, wearing hoodies and black ski masks, entered the store and displayed a handgun. They stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the area in a green Kia Soul.
Smithfield police detectives are working several leads in the case. No injuries were reported.
