A Smithfield couple landed in the Johnston County Jail this week after a search of their home led to the discovery of narcotics, officers said.
On Tuesday, state probation officers requested the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office assist in the search of a home in the 2100 block of W.C. Braswell Road.
During the search suspected methamphetamine was seized. Officers said they also found drug paraphernalia, a smoking pipe and baggies.
Anthony Earl Grice, 38, and Jerrie Lynn Jackson Grice, 39, were charged with felony possession of methamphetamines and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Anthony Grice was also charged with felony probation violation. He was held in the Johnston County Jail under a $50,000 bond. Jerrie Grice was incarcerated under a $25,000 bond.
