The Town of Smithfield along with the Smithfield Parks and Recreation Department are proud to announce the latest addition of our Smithfield Parks System.
A ribbon cutting for the Eva E. Ennis Park and Smith-Collins Park Walking Trail will be held Saturday, April 29th at 10:00 a.m., at the Eva Ennis Park Trailhead, located at 535 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
The new trail was funded by a State Capital Infrastructure Fund (SCIF) Grant of $536,330 and was constructed by JP Edwards Company. The trail is part of the same project that included the expansion of the Eva E. Ennis Park Splash Pad expansion.
Along with the ribbon cutting, there will be a fun walk around the 1.27 mile walking trail. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
