Smithfield Police Need Help Identifying These Two Men

Smithfield Police released surveillance camera images today (Friday) of two people they want to question in connection with the theft of an $11,000 bracelet from a jewelry store.

On March 30th, two men entered Evans Jewelers at 320 E. Market Street. They engaged an employee in conversation and then distracted the employee. While the employee was distracted one of the men reportedly stole a 9.8 carat diamond tennis bracket.

The second suspect is a black male, 5 foot 8 with a slender build, wearing a blue sweater, blue jeans, a white facemask and navy cap.

If you recognize either individual you are asked to contact the Smithfield Police Department at 919-934-2121 or the Smithfield Police Tip Line at 919-989-8835. Callers may remain anonymous.
