A Smithfield teenager has been linked to an armed robbery at a southwestern Johnston County home. Authorities arrested 19 year-old Michael Willie Hughes Huggins of Hillcrest Drive for the incident.
On February 5th, Huggins allegedly went to the home of an acquaintance on Pleasant Pines Drive, Angier, off of Massengill Pond Road. After entering the home, Huggins allegedly produced a handgun and robbed two of the three victims at the address, stealing oxycodone pills, a television, guitar and a 22 caliber rifle.
Huggins was charged February 14th with robbery with a dangerous and incarcerated under a $25,000 secured bond.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office said the robbery was not a random incident. No injuries were reported. At last report, the stolen property has not been recovered.
