On February 10, 2022, more than a dozen Smithfield-Selma High School (SSS) students recently attended the first annual Johnston County Student Council Conference at Cleveland High School in Clayton.

The conference focused on fundraising, student engagement, community service, school spirit, and fun team building games.

The all-day event brought together student government members from high schools across the county to network and share ideas on a variety of topics.

The day closed with a spirit event where the SSS Student Government proudly took home the JoCo Student Council Spirit Stick.
