Store Clerk Charged With Lottery Ticket Theft

An investigation by Four Oaks Police has resulted in the arrest of a convenience store clerk on theft charges.

On September 13th, Police Chief Stephen Anderson said officers responded to Dunn’s Gas & Grocery at 209 E. Wellons Street.  Management reported $85 worth of NC Education Lottery tickets were missing.

Chief Anderson said store security video showed a clerk at the business stealing the lottery tickets.

On September 17th, Christopher Keith Slaughter, 28, of Garner was charged with felonious larceny by an employee.
