A Johnston County man is facing felony breaking and entering charges after he allegedly confessed to the crime.
On March 1st, employees with a new home construction company went to a home nearing completion on Wolf Den Drive in the Cleveland community and reportedly found the suspect inside the home attempting to flee with light fixtures and ceiling fans.
The suspect, John Walter Davis III, 41, of the 3300 block of Zack’s Mill Road, Angier was later located by Johnston County deputies. Davis allegedly confessed to the crime.
Davis was charged Wednesday with one felony count of breaking and entering and one felony count of larceny. He was booked into the Johnston County Jail under a $40,000 bond.
According to his arrest report, Davis is employed as a construction worker. It is unknown if he worked on the home where the items were taken.
