Smithfield Police have announced an arrest in three business break-ins reported hours apart.
During the overnight hours of July 22nd, police allege 55 year-old Ezekiel Dempsey Morris broke into two businesses and tried to break into a third.
The incidents happened at Vazquez Law Firm at 612 S. Brightleaf Boulevard, Ready Mix Concrete at 502 W. Market Street, and Whitley Grocery & Supply at 484 W. Market Street.
Morris was able to gain entry into Vazquez Law and Ready Mix Concrete but was unsuccessful in forcing his way into Whitley Grocery, police said.
Morris was placed in the Johnston County Jail under a $120,000 secured bond.
