Johnston County sheriff’s detectives have charged a Wake County teenager with several car break-ins. In early-January, four vehicles were reportedly broken into along Thanksgiving Fire Department Road and Morgan Parkway in northern Johnston County.
Chaiheme Kenyon Hinton, 18, of Margarita Lane, Knightdale was found in the area of the break-ins shortly after they were discovered. Deputies initially charged Hinton with resist, delay and obstructing an officer but did not have enough evidence at the time to link him to the car break-ins.
Following an investigation, Hinton was arrested Feb. 11th and charged with four counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and two counts of larceny. Hinton was confined in the Johnston County Jail under a $75,000 secured bond.
