Suspicious Vehicle Call Leads To Fentanyl Arrest

BENSON – A Wake County man was arrested on numerous charges after Johnston County deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle call in a convenience store parking lot on NC 210 near Interstate 40, around 11:09pm November 13.

Officers said they located Michael Kurt Sanchez, age 25, of Raleigh. Sanchez allegedly had 2.6 grams of suspected Fentanyl and drug paraphernalia in his possession.

He was charged with trafficking opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture sell or deliver a controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, simple possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sanchez was held on a $60,000 secured bond at the Johnston County Detention Center.
