Teen Cited For Possessing Concealed Gun At Public Park

CLAYTON – A teenager was cited for carrying a concealed gun after Clayton Police were dispatched to Clayton Community Park on Amelia Church Road.

Police Chief Greg Tart said that around 4:00pm Sunday, officers were dispatched to a drug complaint at the park. After arriving, a park/trail officer encountered three males near Field 2. The officer detected a smell of marijuana and one of the males reportedly said he had a firearm under his shirt.

Chief Tart said after the officer searched the individual a Glock 19 semi-automatic handgun was found concealed on Christopher Gonzalez-Cedillo, age 19, of Clayton. Gonzalez-Cedillo was cited for carrying a concealed weapon and released at the scene. No others were charged.
