SMITHFIELD – Detectives are investigating the shooting of a teenager. Around 5:00pm Wednesday, the 18 year-old victim showed up at the Emergency Department at Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield with a gunshot wound.
Smithfield Police said the teen was treated and later released for a minor injury.
Officers are still trying to determine how and where the incident occurred.
