JOHNSTON COUNTY – CSX will temporarily close railroad crossings in our area to allow crews to perform routine maintenance on their equipment and the tracks. The work will take place in the Johnston County area beginning March 15 and ending April 2, 2021.
Beginning the week of March 15th the following crossings will be temporarily closed for maintenance:
Kenly – E. Second Street, E. First Street, E. Edgerton Street, Truckstop Road, Bagley Road
Micro – Wilson Street, Fields Street, Pittman Road, Bizzell Grove Church Road, Brown Wall Road
Selma – Lizzie Mill Road, Anderson Street, Preston Street
Smithfield – E. Peedin Road
Beginning the week of March 22nd the following crossings will be temporarily closed for maintenance:
Four Oaks – Parkertown Road, Oliver’s Grove Road, Camelia Road
Benson – Raleigh Road
Six maintenance teams will be performing the work. Each crossing will be closed for one or more days depending on the specific type of maintenance work needed.
In addition to Johnston County, repair work will also take place in Wilson, Harnett, Cumberland, and Robeson counties in North Carolina and Dillon and Marion counties in South Carolina.
