During their December monthly meeting, the Smithfield Town Council voted unanimously to approve the following board appointments:
- Carmen Zapp was appointed to serve a first term on the Appearance Commission
- Mark Lane was reappointed to a fifth term on the Board of Adjustment and the Planning Board representing the Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ)
