A truck driver was arrested during a traffic stop Tuesday night on Bagley Road just off Interstate 95 in Kenly.
A Johnston County patrol deputy stopped the truck around 9:30pm for an equipment violation. A Sheriff’s K-9 alerted on the vehicle. During a search, approximately a quarter-ounce of suspected methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, digital scales and drug paraphernalia was allegedly found.
Cody Jason Guthrie, 30, of St. George, GA was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture sell or deliver methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Guthrie was transported to the Johnston County Jail where he was held under a $40,000 secured bond.
