TV Shoplifting Suspect Charged With Habitual Larceny

A 44-year-old Raleigh man was charged with habitual larceny after Clayton Police say he stole a TV from the Clayton Walmart.

Walmart employees reported to police their surveillance video showed Michael LeKeith Watson of Raleigh wheeling out the television in a shopping cart without first paying on January 13th.

Officers responding found Watson walking outside a nearby restaurant, questioned him about the television and then made the arrest.  The 48-inch TV was valued at $248.

Watson was charged with larceny and habitual larceny based on his previous criminal record.

He was jailed on a $30,000 secured bond.
