Two Nash County residents have been arrested by authorities in connection with a weekend break-in at Southern Nash High School near Bailey.
Around 6:45pm last Saturday, deputies responded to the school after receiving a call reporting two people had just broken into the school. Officers arrived and arrested the two suspects who were still inside the school.
The Nash County Sheriff’s Office said William Gillis Baker, 25, of Nashville and Christopher John Jasinski, 25, of Bailey were in the process of trying to force their way into a cash register and vending machine inside the school.
Both Baker and Jasinski were charged with breaking and entering, larceny, possession of burglary tools, breaking and entering a coin/currency machine, and safecracking. Bail was set at $35,000 for both suspects.
