Two men were arrested Sunday night after they allegedly broke into a vacant mobile home. The suspects were reportedly caught inside the home by responding sheriff’s deputies.
Around 7:45pm, the victim called 911 reporting someone was inside their vacant rental home in the 5100 block of Highway 96 South. Deputies said they found Timothy Michael Riser, 34, and Phillip Reed Russell, 48, of Four Oaks inside the home.
Russell allegedly gave officers a fake name. Deputies later determined his real identity and that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
Russell was charged with breaking and entering, felony conspiracy, identity theft, and resisting a public officer. He was also served with an outstanding arrest warrant for felony larceny. He was held under a $55,000 bond in the Johnston County Jail.
Riser was charged with felony breaking and entering and misdemeanor resisting a public officer. Bail was set at $2,000.
