KENLY – The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two people in connection with a larceny investigation.
Steven Wayne Stanley, age 38, of New King Road, Smithfield and Jessica Ann Mayo, age 33, of Blake Road, Lucama were arrested November 2 by sheriff’s detectives.
On October 21, a Kenly resident reported a 20 foot car trailer and 16 foot trailer frame parked next to a barn, in the 4200 block of Shoeheel Road, had been stolen.
Stanley was charged with felony larceny and felony conspiracy. Mayo was charged with felony larceny.
The two trailers were later recovered by the sheriff’s office. Authorities said additional arrests are anticpated.
