Two Johnston County residents were arrested Jan. 9th on felony restraint charges for an incident three days earlier at a home in the Meadow community.
On January 6th, a 36 year-old woman told deputies that two acquaintances had gone to her home on Oak Lane off Bryant Pond Road. She was standing in her driveway beside their vehicle when they asked to borrow money. The victim told sheriff’s deputies when she told the suspects she didn’t have any money to loan they became upset. One of the individuals allegedly reached out the car window and grabbed the victim as they sped away, causing her to fall to the ground.
EMS responded to the scene and treated the victim for minor injuries to her arms and legs.
Following an investigation, Randy Elmer Moye Sr., 64, and Megan Christina Beasley, 27, both of the 8000 block of Highway 701 South, Newton Grove were charged Jan. 9th with felony restraint. Both Moye and Beasley were held under a $50,000 secured bond in the Johnston County Jail.
