Two Missing Men Found In Wrecked Vehicle

Two men last seen more than a week ago were found dead Thursday in a wrecked car in Nash County. The Nash County Sheriff’s Office said a report was filed with their department on May 29th about Brandon Lynch and Howard Hill, who had been missing since May 25th and were last seen together in a yellow Chevrolet Cobalt.

Members of the Nash County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division began working on this case.

On June 3, the sheriff’s office began canvasing an area after receiving additional cellphone records. A deputy discovered the wrecked vehicle approximately 30 yards off of Ward Road. The wreckage was covered by heavy brush and was difficult to see from the roadway.

Lynch and Hill were found deceased at the wreck scene. Based on preliminary information from the State Highway Patrol, it appears the victims ran off the roadway in a curve, lost control and their vehicle overturned.

In a statement the sheriff’s office said, “This is not the ending that everyone had hoped for, but we pray for the families of both of these men, that they can now have some type of closure.”
