Johnston County SAFE Team deputies arrested two men during a routine traffic stop. Officers stopped a car Friday evening in the 500 block of Old Fairground Road.
The passenger, 30 year-old George Stanley Royal Jr., of Kentucky Drive, Garner had a warrant out for his arrest for communicating threats.
While being detained, officers said they located a clear plastic bag inside the car containing 4 grams of suspected powder cocaine.
Royal and the driver, Darian Isaiah McCormick, 22, of Ainsley Court, Clayton both reportedly denied knowing there was cocaine in the vehicle.
Both men were charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine. McCormick was also charged with maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance.
Deputies also impounded the Ford Focus that McCormick was driving.
Royal and McCormick were both given $5,000 bonds.
