Two Wake County residents were arrested on felony charges during a traffic stop Thursday afternoon in western Johnston County.
Around 3:00pm, a SAFE Team deputy stopped a black Lincoln Town Car on Mt. Pleasant Road near Jackson King Road. During a search of the vehicle, multiple small bags of suspected marijuana were located. The bags of marijuana weighed a total of 109 grams. Drug paraphernalia was also reportedly found in the car.
Jamelle Leshae Williams, 30, and Leonna Lasha Hinton, 23, of Raleigh were charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana.
Williams was also charged with failure to appear in court on a 2017 charge of driving on a revoked license. Hinton was also charged with maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance.
Hinton was held under a $20,000 bond. Williams was incarcerated under a $11,000 bond.
