Undercover Operation Leads To Drug Trafficking Arrests

Two people are facing methamphetamine trafficking charges following an undercover operation conducted by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division. Authorities said the operation took place in the Four Oaks area.

Agents said they seized 264 grams of meth with a potential street value of $26,400 along with 6.3 grams of marijuana and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Cameron Devone Jackson, 24, of Ashley Lane, Smithfield and Breanna Ashley Battle, 27, of Crocker Lane, Smithfield were charged with three counts each of trafficking methamphetamine and one count of conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine. Both suspects were arrested March 30th. Details about the investigation were released today.

Jackson was held on a $430,000 secured bond. Battle was held on a $300,000 secured bond at the Johnston County Jail.
