Update: Leamon Corderius Holmes was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Tuesday night on Gold Street in Wilson. Holmes was transported to the Wayne County Jail and held in lieu of a $510,000 secured bond.
GOLDSBORO – Goldsboro Police have identified a suspect wanted for a shooting inside a club around 2:30am Sunday. Officers responded to a disturbance at Studio 117 at 902 McDaniel Drive.
Police said Quinton Deonte Atkinson, 33, of Pikeville was involved in an altercation inside the club with Leamon Corderius Holmes. During the altercation, Holmes reportedly produced a handgun and shot Atkinson in the leg. Atkinson was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released for non-life threatening injuries.
On Monday, the Goldsboro Police Department Criminal Investigations Division secured warrants on Leamon Holmes for attempted first degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Holmes, 33, of Roberts Street, Goldsboro is still at large and considered armed and dangerous.
